What does the childbearing year look like? And how can we honor the beginning of our journeys by preparing ourselves through knowledge, wisdom and intuition that helps make us feel confident and empowered in our choices? Join us - Samantha Moody, Annabell Makowski and Kaity Fox for this special one day workshop where will be delving into ideas and options in how we approach fertility, birth and the critical postpartum period, learning the importance of holistic nutrition and health in making sure our bodies are properly supported and sustained, and in taking part in a special Breathwork circle to help connect with our emotional bodies and selves.
With information comes true options and the ability to dismantle fear. Doula Kaity Fox will introduce the workshop by exploring the decisions and choices you face as you approach your antenatal care, prior to pregnancy right through to the delicate wochenbett period. You will be provided with unbiased and non-judgemental insight as we discuss ways to assess and cultivate your own preferences, with the idea of enabling all attendees to feel satisfied and self assured in their own pilgrimage into parenthood.
What does the female body need to be healthy, powerful and balanced? As a holistic Health Coach (IHK) Annabell Makowski focuses on nutrition and healthy lifestyle. She will guide us through which nourishing foods are universal and how they can be incorporated into everyday life individually to support our bodies during this unique time and transition. Together we will prepare a light organic lunch full of plant power that supports female energy and fertility.
Lastly, Samantha Moody will facilitate Breathwork for the Childbearing Year. This circle will help you connect you with your emotional body, to cultivate a feeling of preparedness and confidence at any stage of the childbearing year. Even if you’re not pregnant yet, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn a practice that will support you preconception through postpartum. Breathwork is an active meditation that supports spontaneous healing and growth. The group will begin with an introduction to breathwork and a discussion on how the emotional body influences the childbearing year. Then we will open the circle for attendees to share their intention, if they wish to do so. After the breathing portion, Samantha will provide additional tools and strategies for perinatal emotional hygiene as well as answer any questions attendees may have.
